  ANNEXURE (11) Giving proper guidance in selection of subjects   It has been brought 9to the notice of this department that students, particularly those coming from rural areas, who appear for the S.S.C. examination need be given proper guidance at the time of selection of subjects, particularly optional subjects, with a view to enabling them to pursue study of the subjects in colleges after passing the S.S.C examination, if they intend to do so. Students experience great difficulty in seeking admission to courses which they have in view as the subjects selected by them for the S.S.C. examination do not necessarily fit in with the scheme of subjects which they intend to select for study in colleges after the S.S.C. examination.
